Modelled by a veterinarian and designed for busy owners, PREVETION mission is to help educate owners, and to take all complications out of preventative medicine.

Founder

Hi I’m Dr Holly Roworth BVSc Hons, veterinary surgeon, and I created PREVETION to provide an easy and convenient preventative pet care service. Making sure our pets are protected against common parasites accurately, on time, every time!

I have been practicing as a veterinarian for 9 years, and working within the industry for 15. My passion for animals started from a very young age. I love animals, I love medicine, and I love helping owners be the best owners they can. Teaching owners best practice in animal care so they can experience a long life with their pets, and truly enjoy the human animal bond is my drive. Afterall, our pets are truly our fur babies!

Throughout my career, I have seen and treated animals suffering from tick, flea and worm burdens. Seeing the effect it has on my patients and their owners sparked the business of PREVETION, as they say “prevention is better than cure”.

Personal Story

I lost a family pet to a paralysis tick. Sadly, the truth is life can sometimes get busy and small tasks, despite their importance, can easily be forgotten. In my case, our now ‘fur Angel’ missed her tick preventative medication by a month, and despite the immediate treatment, she wasn’t strong enough and she claimed her wings early. It can happen to anyone and any pet.

I believe knowledge is power and it is up to the veterinarian to inform owners of the best animal care, enabling owners to make the best decisions and to be the best owner they can. It can be difficult to provide all this information in a time-limited consultation. This is where PREVETION can help.

PREVETION is a one off set up subscription service delivering parasite control to owners on a schedule to ensure their pet/s are protected accurately, on time, every time. Reminders and alerts will be sent directly to owners’ phone and/or email to let them know when medications are dispatched, when medications are due, and as a reminder 2 days post administration to ensure medications have not been forgotten.

The PREVETION service removes all need to organize, pick up and schedule preventatives. By having an automated scheduled delivery, and reminders service, owners can be confident their pets are protected with minimal fuss or pre-planning. All scheduling, including delivery of medications will be taken care of.

There are many preventative medications out there, treating array of different parasites and it can be confusing to know which preventatives our pets should be on and how frequently. Preventative medicine enables us to protect our beloved pets from parasites and other nasties that can cause health issues and secondary disease. By providing accurate preventative medicine on time and consistently you can dramatically reduce this risk.

PREVETION provides parasite control kits packed together to cover the common parasites. There are different levels of parasite control kits ranging from Premium to Basic packages. These options can be found in greater detail under the Shop tab.

It is recommended that your pet see a veterinarian once a year for a complete health check and vaccinations. This ensures the best care for your pet, and allows any abnormalities to be picked up early.

PREVETION dose not offer this service as it is an online service providing convenient preventative care for you and your pet and general pet care advice.
